A high quality outdoor eating area provided by Breezefree creates a visual appeal and increased seating for a long stretch of restaurants lining a decked promenade.
Elmer Try Construction approached Breezefree in 2006 during development of the Boardwalk site at Lakeside. The Boardwalk was to become a restaurant district, with ten well-known restaurant brands operating along its length. Breezefree were tasked with installing a screen system that would run along the whole Boardwalk, and giant parasols that would protect customers from the various weather elements including sun, rain and wind.
Breezefree’s top quality SmartScreen system with canvas panels were manufactured in-house and installed outside each venue. The canvas panels and parasol covers were supplied in colours reflecting the image of each venue with printing in line with each restaurant’s unique sense of brand. All ground fixings for the screen posts and the parasol ground sockets were installed underneath the decking, with work undertaken outside trading hours.
The project was delivered on budget and within the deadline. The site has been operational for nearly ten years now, with Breezefree providing updated panels and parasol covers whenever a restaurant rolls out a new brand image.
The Boardwalk is a stretch of practical and attractive outdoor dining areas that maintains a pleasing consistency, while effectively highlighting differentiation between the area’s individual restaurant brands.
