Chiquito

An exposed location is transformed into an inviting outdoor space by Breezefree with a combination of custom-made glass screens and giant parasols.

Breezefree were asked to refurbish an outdoor area that had left customers exposed to high winds. The client wanted a more inviting space that could be used all year round, and expressed some preferences in relation to the design. This had to be done within the constraints of planning restrictions that proscribed any invasive fixings and required a muted colour palette.

Under the direction of Breezefree’s project manager, the company’s design team developed detailed 3D concept visuals and technical drawings before constructing and testing prototypes of the posts for the screen system. After approval by the client, Breezefree’s in-house manufacturing department went into production employing a range of skills including carpentry, welding, branding, electrical wiring and site installation.

The finished result is a clearly defined area effectively enclosed by Breezefree’s attractive custom-designed and built glass screens. Four giant parasols provide protection from rain and sun, and broad heat coverage and a warm ambience in colder months. The branding is muted and suited to the architectural backdrop, but still provides maximum brand visibility. The Restaurant Group’s MD Danny Breithaupt said: “We are exceptionally proud of both the design and the choice of equipment. Our customers will be attracted by its impressive appearance and will enjoy the ambience.”
