A windy pub entranceway is shielded from the weather in style by branded bespoke screens installed by Breezefree.
Media City in Manchester is a newly built retail, living and office development situated in the Salford Quays district. The pub’s location is subject to strong winds, so the client wanted to create a windbreak effect to prevent the doors from slamming, and to increase the visibility of the site and entranceway.
As the client had a firm idea of the look they wanted to achieve, their brief required a bespoke solution. The client chose Breezefree because of the company’s reputation for providing innovative custom-made products. The client gave Breezefree the artwork that they wanted on the screens and specified their height.
Breezefree’s workshop manufactured and polished the posts and fixings, and made the screens using characterful reclaimed timber to match the interior’s weathered rustic look. The wood was routed to render the artwork in a distinctive carved relief, and the screens were hand-painted and varnished in-house.
The finished entranceway screens create a striking feature that provides brand recognition and effective shelter from the wind.
